What is covered under the Briggs & Riley “Simple as That” Warranty?
Our "Simple as That" warranty will cover the repair of all functional aspects of your Briggs & Riley bag for life. We will continue to repair your bag even if you decide to purchase a new Briggs & Riley product with the latest performance innovations. Naturally, our warranty does not cover cosmetic wear or cleaning, nor does it cover the replacement of lost or stolen bags and/or its content. Due to the nature of certain types of repairs and normal wear and tear, it is not always possible to return your bag to its original condition.
Does the warranty on my bag ever expire?
NO! Since Briggs & Riley has a lifetime warranty, it does not expire. Repairs are made for as long as you or anybody else owns the bag.
How do I register my bag for the warranty?
At briggs-riley.com, click on Care & Repair. Then click on Register Product.
If I did not register my bag, am I still covered under the warranty?
Yes, if you did not register your bag you are still covered under the warranty. We do however encourage you to register so we have your purchase on record.
Repairs
Do I need my receipt in order to have my bag repaired? No. You do not need to show a receipt. Just the fact that you have a Briggs & Riley bag entitles you to warranty repair.
Will I be charged for my bag’s repair?
You will NOT be charged for repairs to your bag. Briggs & Riley will repair your luggage free of charge. “Simple as That.” You will be responsible for shipping charges to an Authorized Repair Center. Briggs & Riley will cover the cost of the return shipment.
My bag needs a repair. What do I do?
You can do one of 3 things:
Take your bag to an authorized Briggs & Riley Repair Center. To locate a repair center nearest you, please click on the following link: http://www.briggs-riley.com/repair.asp Please note: All repair centers are not able to perform all the repairs so please call ahead.
Send your bag back to Briggs & Riley for repair. The way the warranty works is you pay to send your luggage to us. We pay for the cost of the parts, labor and return shipping to you. Simply call our Consumer Hotline at 888-462-2247 and you will be issued a Repair Number and given the address of where to send your bag to.
You may be able to repair it yourself. If you just need a zipper pull or one of the new quick-changing wheels please call the Consumer Hotline at 888-462-2247 and we will send the necessary parts to you free of charge.
What should I do if I am traveling internationally and my bag becomes damaged?
For overseas repairs we ask you to pay for the repair with your credit card. We will reimburse you for the repair costs and send any parts that are needed to complete the repair free of charge. What can I expect from a repaired bag?
You can expect a quality repair bringing your bag back to full functionality. Due to the nature of certain types of repairs and normal wear and tear, it is not always possible to return your bag to its original condition.
Who covers the shipping costs if I need to send my bag to a repair center?

Will I be reimbursed for shipping charges?
We do not reimburse for shipping charges incurred when the bag is sent directly to Briggs & Riley or one of our Authorized Repair Centers. Briggs & Riley pays for the cost of the parts, labor and return shipping to you free of charge.
Will a new bag be sent to me if I send a bag in for a repair?
No. The warranty provides for the repair of our products, not replacement.
Will the local repair center be able to repair my luggage?
Each repair center has a different level of the repairs that they are able to perform. We ask that you call the repair center in advance and describe the repair to them and they will advise if they are able to perform the repair needed or if your luggage needs to be sent directly to Briggs & Riley for the repair.
Do I need a Repair Number to take my luggage to a Repair Center?
Not at all! You do not need a repair number to take your luggage to a local Authorized Briggs & Riley Repair Center. However, you do need a repair number to send your bag directly into Briggs & Riley. Please call our Consumer Hotline at 888-462-2247 for more information.
What is the average repair time?
The average repair time is 2-3 weeks.
What is the best way to ship the luggage to Briggs & Riley?
We recommend a delivery service that provides a tracking number such as FedEx, DHL or UPS.

How do I clean my bag?
Ballistic nylon and nylon bags can easily be cleaned with a soft, damp cloth. For stains we recommend using Briggs & Riley Luggage Cleaner. Adhesive lint brush rollers work great to remove lint, fuzz balls and dust as well. For leather bags we recommend using leather conditioner to clean, protect and polish the bag.

Different airlines have different size restrictions. It is best to contact the airlines to make sure your luggage is considered a carry-on. The general rule of the thumb is 45 linear inches (the length + the width + the depth = the linear inches).
