Briggs & Riley Names Howard Poll to Oversee European Operation In UK

European General Manager Poll Makes Debut in UK

Hauppauge, N.Y. December 29, 2005 – Briggs & Riley Travelware, a leading maker of high-quality luggage products, has named Howard Poll European general manager, effective January 1, 2006. Poll will lead the company’s expansion into the International market when its innovative travelware line debuts in the UK in March 2006. The products will include Briggs & Riley’s showcase collections: Baseline, @work and Transcend.

Briggs & Riley CEO Richard Krulik said, “We’re delighted to have Howard join our organization to oversee the UK operation. He has a wealth of experience, and we’re confident that under his direction and leadership, our UK business will flourish. As the brand becomes established in the UK, we will look towards continental Europe for additional opportunities.”

Howard Poll has been involved in the UK and European market for more than 25 years, primarily in the office products market. He has worked for UK and European subsidiaries of major U.S. companies such as 3M, Avery-Dennison, General Binding Corporation, and Newell Rubbermaid. Poll, who has been a consultant for Briggs & Riley in the UK in recent months, will report to Peter J. Stubberfield, vice president of business development at Briggs & Riley.

As European general manager for Briggs & Riley, Poll will continue to refine and implement all infrastructure and support functions for the business, and most importantly, proceed with the company’s aggressive sales and marketing plans to establish the brand in the market.

Poll is married and has three grown children, two daughters and one son.
