  • Friends recommended Briggs & Riley luggage to us. It may be a bit more expensive, but worth the investment. Ordering and shipping easy, once you decide which pieces you want.

  • Only giving it 4 stars since I'm still on the first trip with it, but it seems sturdy enough, of fine quality, and able to withstand the Samsonite gorilla, at least for a while. My only suggestion (and maybe I just haven't figured out how it works yet) would be to give the "coat" strap (that pops out of the small, top pocket) the capability of fastening your smaller carry-on bag to the top of the case like some other carry-ons. That would be much more useful & practical for me rather than a loop to tie on a jacket. So far so good, though.

  • I wasn't sure about the whole bag compression capability but I recently had to pack for a week in DC. I watched the video on how to pack and used a modified version of the approach. Sure enough, I was able to get enough stuff to support 5 nights with 2 suits, 6 shirts, t-shirts, underwear, etc. Its ability to crush down into a smaller volume is pretty cool.

  • I've used this bag on two business trips, one was two days/one night, the second was 5 days/4 nights. If you're well organized and a smart packer, you really can make this work. In addition to clothes, I'm able to fit bathroom stuff including a small hairdryer and an extra pair of shoes. The outside compartment easily fits my 2018 MacBook Pro and I feel safe about keeping it there, along with other documents/magazines.
I considered the spinner, but the wheels take up more room, and for longer business trips, I need every square inch I can get! I would buy this again for myself or a friend-worth the money.

  • Quality construction. Functional. Well worth the price.

  • I travel for a living, AND frequent Japan for happiness. Briggs & Riley is the only brand I'll even consider. This bag expands aplenty, is hard-wearing, light and holds a LOT. (I'm a heavy duty shopper!) The price might be a bit 'up there', but you really DO get what you pay for. It's an investment that will pay off many times over.

  • Great carry-on. Lot's of well thought out features. Only con are the wheels. Would be better if they used rollerblade wheels.

  • Unknown about product since it’s a Christmas gift and yet to be opened; however the customer service at Briggs and Riley is the worst I have ever experienced in my 59 years on this planet. No one answering the phones on Black Friday - you know the busiest shopping day of the year. Just voice mail - Left three voice messages - never a call back.

  • This is my second Briggs and Riley and I ordered it online because i thought it would be very similar to the first one I purchased years ago - which I love. I am disappointed because while they are both the largest carry-ons that B&R make - the new one is much smaller. The internal hook things that hold your clothes in place are basically useless because they are so short - if you put more than one or two days of clothes in there you can't use them. The internal zipper area on the inside of the top does not extend down the entire area - for some reason it is only about 6" deep. My clothes never got wrinkled in the old bag when hung in the internal hanging pouch but they do in this one. And I don't like the new compression thing - it is a pain in the butt to use. My fault for not going to see one in a store - but I wish I could return it.

  • This has got to be the most practical bag for travellers. It is extremely steady, durable and very classy. B&R has a customer for life! This bag has been all over the world and can easily pack for a week with the extension feature. The construction is of high quality and warranty is next to none.
