  • After several frustrating months of traveling with the built in strap for a side bag I ordered the smartlink hook from B & R. I was told not to order the ones from other vendors as only the one from B & R will work. Well I have only made one trip with the new hook and find it very poor design. I have had the hook fall off the suitcase three different times and fortunately I didnt loose it. But for a company like B & R to design something this poor is really surprising.

  • As a flight attendant who needs the hook on the case, I will say the design is Terrible. Lost one on the first trip because the connecting clip disconnects so easy bought another had have my husband drill a hole through the case and put a bolt in, then the strap for the hook is too long and doesn’t adjust enough to keep my very small lunch bag from dragging on the ground, so had to take the whole suitcase to upholstery shop to have it shortened. After spending $540.00 for the case 15.00 for another hook and $20.00 to shorten the strap, I’m finally able to use my new suitcase.

  • I had to take it to a seamstress and be shortened. It is too long out of the box.

  • To long even at its shortest adjustment

  • When I got my new luggage this was the style for the hook. The first time I used the luggage it fell off somewhere in boarding process of the plane, never to be found again. Although it hooks into the suitcase it is not secure and can easily come off. I lost mine on the first use and don't feel excited about paying $15 for the pleasure of loosing it again. I travel every week so that could get expensive.
