"The backpack is an investment piece for those, like me, that care about high-caliber design and luxury products. The major issue I’ve encountered with the backpack is that their fabric choice for the padded back is very low quality. I’ve only had my bag (which I proudly monogrammed!) for a couple of months and it’s already looking quite bad and embarrassingly worn. As I business travelers I pride myself in trying to maintain a clean image but unfortunately my Briggs & Riley backpack covers very short to it… unfortunately."
"There is an old saying which goes like this - 'You get what you paid for'. Not to do a disservice to competitors who produce great backpacks, I cannot believe just how good my new Large Cargo Backpack is. It is as sturdy as they get, the number of pockets and pouches is incredible and the build quality is superb. You can also lock the main compartment (padlock needed) if you want to secure a laptop etc. If your fan of Dr Who & travel then this bag has to be the Tardis for storage. I must have spent 5 mins wondering where I had stored everything the first time I loaded this up for a trip to the office. The internals of the bag is made to a high standard and with the lifetime guarantee, I just cannot see me buying another backpack again, oh hang on, they do a smaller one of these (which BTW will be on my xmas list) as I want the smaller one now just for those days when I need a laptop and little else. Would I recommend this ? Yes 100% if your in the market for a 30L + sturdy backpack that will have a pocket / pouch for every occasion. It looks good too. . ."
"Was very excited but the arm pulling up only goes half way. Hope to get customer service to fix it."
"The suitcase looks nice. However as a flight attendant, I am more concerned about the functionality and durability. The very first time I used it, I had a small backpack on top and a small cooler bag on the strap. It is designed to be used in that way. The suitcase is not stable at all. It fell over while I was walking and smashed into my shin and really hurt my leg. 2 weeks later I still am bruised from it. The handle is really wobbly and not sturdy at all. It is really hard to roll if you have other bags stacked. The handle feels like it is going to break off. It is really hard to maneuver your suitcase. I had to keep adjusting through the airport and that is really annoying. I should have listed to other reviews who warned about this. I paid a lot of money for this bag and it should feel and behave strong and sturdy. When you have the expansion open, the suitcase doesn’t fit in certain overhead bins. Defeats the purpose of a carry on. Not helpful for someone like myself who works on the plane and I can’t check my bags. I can’t see it lasting very long. I’m very disappointed. My previous suitcase(A different brand) is still going strong after 8 years. I only decided to switch to B&R, because it looked nice and I wanted a 4 wheel rolling bag."
"I own several pieces from Briggs & Riley and love them all. I’ve been traveling with my first Briggs & Riley 3 piece set since 2015 and still using it to this day. I’ve added several pieces since 2015 including this beautiful piece which has become my absolute favorite of all. It makes whizzing through the airport and TSA a breeze. I highly recommend this piece. It holds a ton of stuff and the compression adjustment is perfect for smaller planes with small overhead bins. I have one piece that I purchased in 2015 that has never rolled well but it’s my fault for not using the warranty to fix it. Other than that, I own 9 pieces as well as two sets of the packing cubes (*highly recommend*) and no other issues whatsoever!! If you travel often like I do, please just invest in Briggs & Riley luggage!! You will not regret it!!"
"Welcome to having dreams come true. This bag was recommended to me by a fellow road warrior. We live in hotels and ballrooms gigging on corporate shows. This bag is perfectly designed for seasoned travelers who need to stay organized and stylish. It doesn't fall over. It doesn't slouch. It does look and function great. Perfect amount of pockets and compartments. I still haven't maxed it out, compared to my last back it is awesome. You can fit a jacket inside after you put in the everyday items. Amazing find."
"I was so excited to finally splurge on a Briggs and Riley carry on bag. I travel a ton and the lifetime warranty and build sold me. I never thought I would spend this much on a piece of luggage but here we are-I do have regrets. I even went to a local luggage store to check it out before committing. The sales person talked me into the universal carry - its a bit wider so I think the overall capacity is bigger. The Good: 1. Good quality exterior 2. Seamless easy rolling wheels 3. Sturdy handle - I love that the handle is exterior so it doesn't take up space in the bag 4. The garment compartment is a nice touch 5. The expandable sides - amazing The bad: 1. The interior lining is cheap and tan. The liner is not stain resistant. My first trip essentially ruined the lining. This is supposed to be a lifetime bag- in hindsight I should not have purchased because of the color of the lining. If you pack any creams/lotions/liquids - like all women do- the tiniest amount of leakage will ruin the lining. I'm so disappointed that I didnt think of this before purchasing. My last cheap bag (used for 4 years) had a stain resistant lining. Liquids leak- no stains. The lining ruined the entire concept of the bag for me. So bummed too bc I was so excited about the bag. 2. The zipper gets wedged under the wheels 3. This bag is for left handed people. The handle is on the left side of the bag and it zips from right to left instead of left to right. 5. The clothing cincher doesn't cinch down in the main compartment. The elastic pieces just stretch so you technically can't cinch anything like it eludes to. 6. It really is heavy. If you pack heavy it will be hard for a lot of folks to lift into the overhead bin. *Ladies learn from my mistake don't buy luggage with tan lining."
"This is such a well-made bag with a very beautiful gray tone. Let's start with its capacity: it held two full bell ballgowns, one suit, three relaxed pants outfits, two toiletry kits, undergarments, and a box of heels. I would highly suggest purchasing the carry-on packing cube set for easier organization. The spinner wheels rolled well over cobblestone and swiveled well. No issues with the collapsible handle. This is my go-to gift for the engaged traveler!"
"Love the pack, but it's too heavy. Love the quality, materials & design."
"Great carry on that is solidly built and the expansion/compression system works very well. Garment carrier is ok but can’t prevent a suit from getting wrinkled so I rarely use it and just fold carefully. The case is almost perfect barring a couple of things. Can’t get away from the fact that the sturdy construction brings with it some weight so if your airline of choice is prone to weigh bags before boarding, then you need another option unless you pack extremely light. Secondly the second plastic bar on the extendable handle is an easy way to trap your fingers when placing a bag over it (in my case the matching backpack). I’ve done this several times and it’s painful. The reinforcement needs to be redesigned as it’s a painful mistake every time I forget. I’ve left this review a few trips before finalising as now my case has been used and it stands up well to both being used in overhead bins and being checked. Some minor scuffs and scrapes (name plate especially) but everything is still functioning after around a dozen flights over the past 3 months."
