Light but not a functional bag

"This bag is unfortunately not functional. While it's light, you can only use one side of the bag or the front side doesn't close. Even with just one laptop and an ipad and only half full, the sides are open with the latch in the middle barely staying closed, bad design. The front latch broke after two uses and I tried to exchange it instead for a different style. Because it was over 90 days, they didn't allow that so I had to pay $60 shipping to get it fixed. Not everyone buys a bag and uses it immediately. I never used this bag again because I don't trust that the latch won't break again. I have several pieces of Briggs and Riley and was a loyal customer for 20 years. This bag's quality and the customer experience has turned me off forever, which makes me sad."

Waste of Space

"I own several Briggs and Riley bags and this is the only one I regret. The small compartment is uselessly small and if you do try to use it forget about trying to close it. I wish it were just one larger compartment. I keep hoping they will release an alternative carry on in this line, but I’m starting to give up hope."

Two work trips - no checked bags

"Design is nice and the wheels are very smooth and even runs easily on heavy carpet. Just be careful of hills. Only downside is that you cannot use outer compartments if you are packed to the brim but that is expected. Handles seem nice and the build is on the outside, so future replacements seem to be a non-issue. Shell is a bit flexible which is good for impacts and cracking."

A little underwhelming

"I bought this suitcase having owned a B&R carry on expandable 2-wheel garment bag. I really liked the design, functionality and durability of the suitcase. So I thought this would be the same. The front pocket does not close properly once you pack anything inside it even with the main compartment minimally full. This is a serious flaw on this suitcase. Also there is no way to know if the battery bank is fully charged or not. Other than these 2 issues, the usual B&R quality is there, the glide is great and the inner compartment big enough for a weekender. I do hope B&R will address these issues, especially the front pocket issue."
