"I travel for a living and this bag is great for my one day trips or my two days, one night trips. Fits exactly what I need for my trips. It’s not too big or too small. Really great Bag…but...

"This is my second Briggs & Riley bag and they are truly wonderful bags…I just wish the shoulder straps weren't so long as I don’t like them hanging down when I’m out and about - there should be a way of shortening them easily as opposed to what I’ve had to do which is to cut them off and then stitch the remainder back so they don’t work their way through the catch. Also the two pen slots are in a slightly odd place - if you have pens in them they tend to catch on other things in the bag."

A very spacious and well-designed

"A very spacious and well-designed bag. Has all the B&R refinements, materials and robust build. It is perfect for being "all-you-need" for hand luggage. the pockets are good sized and I am comfortably able to fit: a change of clothes, laptop, tablet, cables, battery, toiletries, docs and accessories. Initially can feel a bit boxy but softens a bit on regular use. Couple of minors can be better: a way to fold away/store dangling straps; the pen holders in the inside flap are not very useful. Other than that, a great backpack. Highly recommended."

"This is an incredibly well made backpack. I love all the thoughtfully located organizing compartments- from the pen holders, to the front zip pocket for my cell phone, to the pocket in the back for boarding passes/passports, to the water bottle holder. the wide zip area is a great size. I can put all my things (chargers, dongles, and clickers) as well as snacks and a light cardigan or jacket and nothing gets crushed. The zippers aren’t as buttery as some describe or as tough as others describe; especially around the wide mouth part. The laptop compartment is perfect with enough room for docs as well as a notebook. I agree it’s worth spending the money and not buying anymore backpacks that aren’t as well made or as great quality. Love this purchase! I also bought a Travelon Anti-Theft Metro Convertible Small Crossbody Bag and they look like a set. I can slip it inside my backpack when I’m boarding and don’t have to pull my backpack off my back when I need something quickly."

Just Buy It

"I hated buying this bag. It was too expensive, overly specific, and felt entirely indulgent. Now that I’ve gotten over that, I absolutely love it. It holds exactly what I need for a carry-on and it is easy to access everything when you are working in the tiny space that exists between your knees and the airline seat in front of you. The storage is organzied in a way that is quick to memorize (important when your seatmates are sleeping and you can’t actually see what you are reaching for) and easy to access. You don’t even need a masters degree in re-shuffling. My computer is snuggly tucked away and my snacks are not mashed under my reading material. This bag is also lightweight for its capacity and slips perfectly over my luggage handle. I wish one of the side pockets fit a bigger water bottle, but then the whole thing might be asymetrical and ridiculous."
