Light but not a functional bag

"This bag is unfortunately not functional. While it's light, you can only use one side of the bag or the front side doesn't close. Even with just one laptop and an ipad and only half full, the sides are open with the latch in the middle barely staying closed, bad design. The front latch broke after two uses and I tried to exchange it instead for a different style. Because it was over 90 days, they didn't allow that so I had to pay $60 shipping to get it fixed. Not everyone buys a bag and uses it immediately. I never used this bag again because I don't trust that the latch won't break again. I have several pieces of Briggs and Riley and was a loyal customer for 20 years. This bag's quality and the customer experience has turned me off forever, which makes me sad."

Great, so far

"I received my new luggage on 4/24/26 and took my first trip with my new luggage on 5/17/26. So far, I love it. I had originally planned to purchase something less expensive but the lifetime warranty swayed me to go with Briggs & Riley. I was also looking for something lightweight and with spinner wheels. This piece, which I will use for checked luggage, meets everything I was looking for. Even when packed, this mid-60s woman could still lift it by herself. In addition, I also like the way that the weight seems to be evenly distributed in the suitcase. My previous suitcase was always taking a nose-dive after it was packed."

Time will tell

"We were excited to receive our new, but expensive luggage. Upon arrival, we were disappointed in what appears to be flimsy shells. We have used them once since their arrival. We are pleased with them so far, especially the rollers, we will see how they perform in actual travel where they are really put to the test as others throw it around in luggage batches. We are counting on the lifetime guarantee. Time will tell."

"I sleeve the design especially the " hidden front" lockable pocket. It is lightweight and even with a heavy bag on top it rolls effortlessly in the airport"

Waste of Space

"I own several Briggs and Riley bags and this is the only one I regret. The small compartment is uselessly small and if you do try to use it forget about trying to close it. I wish it were just one larger compartment. I keep hoping they will release an alternative carry on in this line, but I’m starting to give up hope."

Great quality but okay capacity

"I love the quality of this bag and the attention to all the details. My only complaint is that it feels like it holds significantly less than my similar carry on from another brand. Overall I’m pleased but I wish it was bigger on the inside"

"I’m a big fan but the capacity it’s not optimal, if u travel for 2 days and need to put papers or your laptop there it’s ok, but for more that that you will need an expandible version"
