How to get the most out of your Packing Cubes

Packing cubes are a must-have for packing efficiently and staying organized when traveling. They are incredibly flexible and are available in different sizes, providing you with an easy way to meet your packing needs. Instead of just shoving all your belongings into the open space of your luggage, packing cubes provide many benefits, like allowing you to keep clean items separate from dirty ones and keep like items together.

However, there’s an art to using this lifesaving travel accessory, so check out our tips and tricks for how to pack with packing cubes below

Categorize Your Packing Cubes

Give each packing cube a category so you can easily find what you’re looking for.
Categories could include tops, bottoms, shoes, undergarments, accessories, and toiletries.

Using packing cubes also allows you to edit down what you truly need to bring with you. Once you have your items separated by category, place them in their assigned packing
cubes.

If you’re wondering how to use packing cubes when traveling with little kids, give each
child their own cube. Giving each child a different color packing cube will help everyone easily find their belongings.

Use Differently Sized Cubes

Since all your belongings are different sizes, you’ll want to get different size packing cubes to help make the packing process easier. Typically, you can fit several pairs of
undergarments in small cubes and 6-8 bottoms, up to 10 shirts, or 3 bulky sweaters or
sweatshirts in large cubes.

Strategize How You Stack

After your items are inside each cube, you're ready to arrange them inside your suitcase. Pack the cubes into your bag from largest to smallest, starting with the widest packing cube and placing it in the bottom of your bag or suitcase. Fit any smaller packing cubes around it and on top of it so you have better visibility for each cube.

With a little bit of reorganizing and shuffling, they should fit neatly within your suitcase. Just make sure the zipper on the packing cubes is always upright so you can easily access your cubes and see all your items at once when you arrive at your destination.

Don't Overstuff Your Packing Cubes (Not Everything Needs to Go in A Cube)

It isn’t necessary to use all the space in each cube. You can use a cube to keep a certain item like lingerie or a pair of dress shoes separate from everything else. It’salso a good idea to bring an empty one for dirty clothes.

And not everything needs to go into a packing cube. Hard and irregularly shaped items
like hair straighteners and cameras may be better off wedged in between cubes filled
with clothes.

After you master how to pack using packing cubes, you’ll wonder how you’ve packed
without them before!

And now that you're packed and ready with B&R, get ready for your next adventure!
