Tough like a tank.

"You better love this bag before you buy it, because it’s a commitment guaranteed stronger than your first marriage. It’s tough, durable, and heavy, but it won’t break, it’ll carry more than you’ll ever need, and you’ll overpack it with lead to hit that 70lb airline limit on purpose. Mine’s stood strong over 17 years and has seen more of the world than all my friends combined, including way back to my kindergarten crush who I kissed on top of the jungle-gym at the tender age of 5. This bag won’t stand tall though, always slouching onto its belly and knocking down anything in its way, small children and Chihuly glass sculptures be warned. I keep waiting for this bag to give up on me like my first set of American Tourister on it’s maiden trip, but this thing is nuke proof, only the fires of hell will destroy it. This heirloom will be now be passed through many generations of my family, hopefully making it to Mars once the human race destroys our beautiful beloved planet Earth."

Good but came with a malfunction

"The suitcase by itself is good and well done but it was delivered with a malfunction (a snap button is missing on one of the panels) Customer service was helpful to give me some addresses to get it repaired in the city of NYC but the store doesn't seems reliable (not answering the phone, store closed during besides their business hours say otherwise). I guess this suitcase will stay with this malfunction...."

Broke after first use

"Broke after our first trip. No obvious way to get it repaired On our first flight to Europe with this bag the entire wheel and carrier assembly broke off. When we can back to the Bay Area CA we learned that there is no repair facility within 100 miles. That’s right, the fastest growing economic center in the country is unserved Fortunately the shop where we bought it was able to mail it back to BR at their expense and it was repaired there. This was after much cajoling and discovering that BR wanted us to ship it back at our expense. This is literally the biggest bag they make, it was hundreds to ship Overall as a 30+ year customer of this brand I am unlikely to buy from them ever again. Their quality and warranty used to be the best. Not any more"

Large Duffel

"Switched from a Tumi large duffel to Briggs and Riley. While well constructed, several comments: it's too heavy when empty, too large for airport check-in conveyor belts (have to turn it on its side), and needs more pockets on the outside of the bag."
