First use, but not the last

"Received the Essential 22" carry on spinner in green, in time for a trip to Portugal. This carry on moved smoothly through the airports and on the cobblestones in Porto, Coimbra and Lisbon. It's tough and rugged, had no issue checking the suitcase for an early boarding pass since it's so well built. I also liked the zippered compartments inside that held all the smaller essentials. Packed 2 pr of jeans, 5 tees, 2 long sleeved shirts and pj's, as well as socks and underwear, with a little room to spare for souvenirs. Very pleased with my purchase."

Quality dropped

"I have one of these purchased in 2022, and I just bought one for my husband in 2026. I also have other Briggs and Riley suitcases that have lasted for many many years and been repaired. Unfortunately the new one is terrible quality. The hard shell is very thin now and dents when pressing to compress the suitcase. The compression mechanism pops open very easily (not from stuff in the suitcase pressing the button). We had a down jacket in the suitcase and the compression mechanism kept failing so the suitcase kept expanding. I do not recommend buying this model until an updated version is released."
