Not a carry-on for most US airlines

"I don’t understand why this is marketed as a carry-on when it’s too wide for most US airlines. United, American, Delta, Alaska all require carry-ons to be 14” wide but this is 15” so it doesn’t fit in the overhead bins. I travel weekly for work and don’t check my bag so this was a complete a waste of money."

Great Size and Well Made

"I've had this bag for years, and I just got one for my husband. His is a beautiful navy (not available when I got mine). These are classy, very well made bags and can hold a lot yet still fit in most overhead bins. They roll smoothly--2 wheels is so much better than 4, as the bag won't roll away if you let go on a slope. Our son has an older version that's a bit smaller (which we'd prefer), and it still looks new after 8 years of use all around the world. Best. Luggage. Ever."

Love B+R luggage, build quality

"Love B+R luggage, build quality and durability are always tops. This piece is no exception. But upon receipt it seemed larger than expected. Dimensions were accurate but checking both Iberia and American carry-on dimensions I found it only fits Iberia. Haven’t checked others. But despite traveling on Iberia this holiday season, the trans-Atlantic leg is on American. I’m not willing to risk having to check something explicitly intended to carry on. For that reason this piece will be of little use, and I’m dejected over my purchase. I ordered just before Thanksgiving. Noted reviews since then highlight this deficiency, and if had been available before my purchase I would have opted for the 19”."

15in width products should be phased out

"Its a great bag but I regret buy it. I'm a pilot and fly multiple times a week. The 15in width means it will no longer fit in the overhead (on its side like a book) on newly refurbished 737 & 737Max cabins. This adds extra stress when boarding to fit in the overhead and often requires checking the bag. In the near future these bags will all have to be checked."

What Material is this made from? I'm looking at the Strong Bags and LuggageWorks alternatives as I'm a pilot so this bag will see a lot of use and they both state they're made from ballistic nylon. The bag is not made to be used in the expanded state. There is no lock on the compassion plates that will hold the bag in the expanded plate in place. If something heavy is placed on the bag the bag will compress.
The dimensional diagram in the photos indicated the width at 14". However the Specs section lists it at 15".
