"I purchased my 1st carry-on Suitcase at an airport retail store about 15 years ago. The one I was traveling with, the wheels overheated and warped from a long stroll to get to my gate. "This is now one of my favorite suitcases! It's so well constructed - sturdy handle and the wheels easily revolve in every direction. One thing I really like is that there are so many different zippered pockets that it's easy to stay organized. I would normally put small miscellaneous items in a packing cube in the main part of the suitcase, but with this suitcase I can put them in the pockets - better organized and then the suitcase holds more. I've always been a person to check my luggage but I used this as carry on for a 5-night trip with no problem. I didn't even need to have it expanded! Love this suitcase."

"First and foremost the lifetime warranty is what sold me on this luggage and justified the price. I am increasing in my travel and want something that is durable but everything breaks so the warranty is going to come in handy later. Also the smart storage and collapsible feature of the carry on has helped my family decrease on checked bags so that also credits towards the price of the luggage. All in all, I don’t see how I would regret the purchase with the lifetime warranty and the reliability the Briggs & Riley luggage has come to known for."

High quality trolley with lack of rain protection

"Very hight quality trolley. Feels sturdy and rigid. Very nice interiors and a super cool compression system. Love it. Never see a hand luggage so well designed. One problem occured: getting caught in rain while travelling is not something the trolley handles very well, to say it gentle. Customer service mentioned that they don't see this very often, but it took a 10min transfer from hotel to the train station and the trolley was wet to the inside (luckily no suit in the compartment). Customer Service suggested a plastic luggage cover (from Amazon) which is not what I want after spending CHF 700 on a fine piece of luggage. I would suggest it for airline/car travelling, not for a city trip (at least not in central Europe where it can rain sometimes. . . ). Nylon 420D (what the outer shell is made of) can made water resistant quite good but here it seems to miss the water-repellent impregnation."

Why it feels heavier than expected That weight isn’t accidental—it comes from a few design choices: Ballistic nylon + reinforced structure for long-term durability The CX compression system, which adds hardware but lets you pack more and compress down A wider body design, giving you more usable space than typical narrow carry-ons In short: it’s built to last and maximize capacity, not to be ultralight. You might want to go with a lighter model (for example, polycarbonate versions around ~8.5 lbs like the Sympatico line ), or even a two-wheel carry-on, which typically weighs less.
With many airlines starting to crack down on carry-on luggage sizes, will this pass an airline that requires 22” x 14” x 9”, since it’s 21” x 15” x 9”?
